For the recent (4/12/1014) SyFy original movie, directed by Nick Lyon, I was able to spend a bit of time work and reworking designs for the titular tentacles as well as the mummified alien body and the leviathan space craft interiors and exterior.

Megashark 3: Megashark vs Mechashark!
I managed to get a fair amount of time to work on the design for
Mechshark, but was ultimately disappointed that the producers went for
something that was just a metal shark... could have been WAY more
interesting! Final design is the last image which include the smaller v1 mini-shark sub.

Werewolves of New York!
For the recent SyFy channel original movie "Battledogs" starring Ariana Richards (Jurassic Park), Wes Studi (Last of the Mohicans), Dennis Haysbert (24), Craig Sheffer (A River Runs Through It), and directed by Alexander Yellen, I spent some time designing and redesigning the werewolves.
Originally starting out as very much humans with wolf like features, they gradually morphed into full on monster wolves at the behest of SyFy channel.

Not every design is a winner...
One of the aspects of designing things for these films is that LOTS of work gets rejected for all kinds of reasons, but mostly it is just not what the producers/director/whoever has in mind.
It is just something you have to learn to deal with and move on.
So here are a few recent creature designs I did for a movie that were rejected. I could have continued to work on reaching a design that was more to the director's liking but in this case I was supervising work on another project and didn't have time to revisit it.
